Many corporations have a logo design policy for logo embroidery and screen printing. The logo design policies include specific colors, sizes, fonts, and sometimes go so far as to prohibit certain shirt colors or background prints, such as paisley or Hawaiian shirts!
Not-for profit organizations and industry associations can be less formal. The Social Media Club is refreshingly flexible with its branding guidelines, allowing each chapter the freedom to reflect the uniqueness of its local character. Their simple logo design rules:
- Each logo design must use the specific PMS colors
- Each logo design must include the slogan, “if you get it, share it”
- No logo angle can altered so dramatically as to appear unrecognizable
That’s it! Look at the creativity a flexible logo policy inspires, both in the sample below and with all Social Media Club logos.
What’s your favorite logo? Is there one that best reflects its local area? Which makes the best logo embroidery or the best screen-printed t-shirt?
